Nicholas Zurrus, Chief of the Global Geopark Network, referred to Qeshm's Global Geopark as a Factor for Supporting Local Communities.
Professor McCeur, UNESCO's Program Director for International Geosciences and Geospatial Affairs, said: Today, there are 17 countries from all over the world on Qeshm Island to take advantage of the valuable experiences of the Global Geopark of Qeshm in the sustainable development of local communities and the conservation of geological heritage.
